I recently moved to the Island of the Gods AKA Bali! This spiritual island is in the heart of Indonesia and after 3 months, its safe to say I've found a new home here. In between the luscious rolling hills, terraced paddy fields, swaying palm trees, amazing vegan cafes, endless beaches, yoga and surf camps and friendly locals, it's become one of my favourite places I have travelled to so far. The island of Bali is predominantly Hindu and driving down every road, you will see temples dotted on either side constructed with incredible craftsmanship and local woman going about their daily rituals with offerings and incense. It really is a unique culture.
Apart from the local culture, Bali is a mecca for photoshoot locations. The island is brimming with concept hotels, restaurants and spa's that have spent a lot of money on designing the themes of their businesses which is has become the perfect backdrop for exploring editiorial style shoots.
I teamed up with the girl bosses over at Wild Thing for their new lookbook at the uber trendy Motel Mexicola in Seminyak. I recruited a team of babes with Paula Potry as our model and Kirana Ayunda on hair and makeup for our amazing shoot. This shoot was all about colour colour colour! Mixing this mexican themed oasis with neon lights, festival clothing, amazing accessories and party girl makeup.
